Rudis, a wooden Roman Gladiator practice sword. Not only were wooden swords used by Gladiators for training, but if he survived the arena and lived long enough to retire, a symbolic wooden gladius (Rudis) was awarded as a token of discharge and freedom. Note: sword is lacquered wood.

This is stronger than previous versions but without making it heavier this is about as strong as this style can get. Please remember this is not a toy, bat or racket. They are not designed for hitting hard but for solo practicing the art of swordsmanship.
