Are you a Greek Hoplite in need of a sidearm? Are you sick and tired of breaking your spear and becoming completely disarmed? This is where the Xiphos can help you!
A common Greek Iron Age sword, the Xiphos was mainly used as a secondary weapon in battles of the time. It is slim, light and single handed - the perfect combination for short range skirmishing. This recreation of the Xiphos has a high carbon steel blade, a wooden grip and comes with a leather-bound wooden scabbard. The scabbard comes with four mounting points for a baldric, so you can hang the blade under your left arm.
Please Note: It is important to take care and watch when sheathing this sword. There is a rubber grip on the inside to hold the sword securely in place but it is possible to peel the rubber if not taking care and then the sword will not be able to slide into the scabbard.
