A type of spangenhelm, this helmet features metal eyelet protection and as such is sometimes called a spectacle helm. It is special in that it is the only Viking age helmet that has been fully reconstructed.

This helmet adds a decorative flair to the traditionally plain helmet. It is faithful in its appearance and construction, but features additional patterning and etching on each of the four helmet panels, the eye guards and the braces. The etchings are a Viking and Celtic inspired design, depicting flowing curves, twists and animal heads.

The helmet is 16ga steel, and features a sturdy chinstrap and interior leather webbing for fit adjustment on the head.
