A buckler is a small shield that is gripped in the fist.
It was generally used as a companion weapon in hand-to-hand combat during the Middle Ages, as its size made it poor protection against missile weapons, such as arrows, but useful in deflecting the blow of an opponent's sword or mace.

This battle ready buckler is made from 1.6 mm steel with a rolled edge.
A steel handle is attached by two rivets on each side.

Good small buckler shield. I well recommend this shield for a child to use, great as a present as well.
It has durable strength and is hard metal possibly stainless steel it is made from.

Worth every cent This is a great piece of kit for archers, light but strong, I had to put some leather round the handle to realy make it feel good, not heavy enough against axes and polearms but a nifty defence against single hand swords. awesome price as well.

Buckle up... Two words; awesome bargin!
It's cheap, it's strong' it looks good.
Though plain, it more than makes up for that by being really affordable.
The handle might take some getting used to, but whether you're an archer, a knight going for a strole, or a student practicing I.33, you've got to at least have one of these.
