The Militia Templi, was a monastic military order (like the Knight's Templar) that was founded in 1146 in Portugal, under the banner of Saint Benedict of Aviz. Other than having the coolest name, they were very influential in early Portugal, once even having their Grand Master on the throne.
This dagger is modeled after the swords used by the Ordo Militia Templi. While it may not represent the actual daggers they may have used, it captures the essence and the nature of the style of daggers at the time. It's blade is carbon steel with a fuller, a wide, flat crossguard made from brass and a leather bound grip. It has a round pommel with a brass, enameled cross. There are also several crosses etched around the dagger; two on the blade and crossguard each. It also comes with a leather bound wooden scabbard, with steel furniture and brass decorations.
We at MFC recommend further blunting of the tip before use in combat.
