Beads are one of the most common items found in pre-Christian Viking graves. Making beads by hand is extremely labor-intensive so beads were valuable and expensive. Beads were passed down to younger relatives, gathered up during raids, and eagerly purchased at the great market towns such as Haithabu (Hedeby).
Our 35cm length DIY Viking bead kit comes supplied with a leather cord - all you need to do is string it and wear it.
You can string it however you want or copy the pattern from our images.
This length is the middle size we currently have.
