The Khopesh (sometimes also Khopish) was a blade primarily used in Ancient Egypt, dating back to at least 2500 B.C. It can be seen as both an divergence of a battle-axe and the primal form of a sabre, with a curved blade and small guard. The Khopesh however utilised its weight to enable cuts rather than its edge, allowing it to smash through (or around) shields and pull aside an opponents limbs.

This Khopesh reconstruction is based off of a piece from the time of Ramses II, (1303 - 1213 BCE). It is constructed from carbon steel with a full tang and hardwood grip. It also comes with a leather sheath that hangs across the shoulder, and fastens around the blade with leather straps and brass studs.
