A Phalera can be compared to a medal for a Roman soldier's distinguished actions during service. They were worn on the breastplate during parades, or if the award was for the unit, then the Phalerae would be pinned to the standard.
This Phalera features a depiction of Alexander the Great, facing east towards a rising sun, and his conquests. This is a brass casting coated in tin, and has four hooks on the back for easy attachment. Perfect for Roman reenactors or historical collectors.
