Build and customise your own sabre with this D guard kit. Designed for enthusiasts and craftspeople, the kit includes a solid steel guard and a shaped wooden handle, reinforced on one side with steel for added strength. The rear of the guard has been etched with a cross section for added grip and style.

Please note: this is a DIY component, not a plug-and-play part. Some fitting, adjustment, and skill will be required to properly mount it onto a sabre blade. Perfect for historical weapon restorations, reenactment gear, or projects where authenticity and craftsmanship matter. You can see in our images with it fitted to 4 of our different blades, naturally it will fit more but these ones look the best.

Tips on professional fitting: Wrap the wood in a thin leather or suede. Then make twisted wire to fit in the groove spiraling from one end to the other. Ensure wire is a bit loose at the back to fit the back of the guard. It is tricky to manage but the end result of a successful fitting will add to the beauty of this grip.
