An Ancient Roman folding stool. This is a simple and common style from the era and thought to have originated on ones based on the Curule magistrate seats from Etruria.
Made of iron and shaped like lightning bolts with added snake motifs. The seat is made from sturdy 3mm leather. Please see pictures for details.
It can fold up like most folding stools but also fold in half again to reduce space in your baggage train.
