Blade width: 40mm at hilt, 17mm near tip
Weight: 1.18kgs

Thrusting sword with S-type hilt and finger ring. Full tang, rounded and blunt. A 'ready-to-go' sword for the combat re-enactor. This sword makes a good 'beater' and has a 3mm edge for safety and strength in edge to edge combat styles. This sword features an ultra light blade with polished steel S shaped crossguard, finger ring & round pommel, braided leather grip and full tang blade that is peened through the pommel.

The blade is a low carbon steel with a low temper, it may bend but should not break.

Combat Rating = 9 of 10

an update I purchased this sword back in 2011 (see previous review) and I am happy tto say it is still going strong.despite heavy abuse, the blade shows very little wear and tear and doesn't seem to rust very easily either. I ended up taking off the leather cord because the leather didnt suit my grip. I'm also excite to see mfc does a left handed version now as I am a left handed fighter.

If you are looking for a great blade, look no further, this one is a winner.

A great sword... let down by the hilt execution This sword feels great in the hand.
It really moves freely with the balance 12cm above the hilt.
The blade has been very well done and represents great value.
The grip is comfortable and well sized- if unattractive. Functional is the word.

The S-shaped guard is a good shape but on this example the finger ring is crooked, welds are obvious and it has a number of chunks knocked in the steel. The handle is loose on the tang and moves about 2-3mm. The pommel is steel plated brass and where the tang comes through it has some severe grinding that has gone through to the brass. It also shows that the blade has been wedged rather than peened. I don't know how secure this arrangement will be.

It feels great and looks good- I want to be able to trust it completely.

The sniper rifle of my sword collection Amazingly quick sword, very satisfied with it. This sword moves so quick and gracefully, brilliant for grappling, disarming and dual sword wielding. I find myself wishing I'd bought two of these beautiful blades.
Thankyou medieval fightclub!

One of the best sword's i have ever had the pleasure to use and own. Nice and light and very easy to weild. Grip is very comfortable to the hand, with plenty of room for leather glove or Gauntlet. Finger ring is large enough for a steel gauntlet. The blade, S Style cross guard and round pommel have a beautiful finish. This sword will take on a heavier sword with ease. It will take the punishment of medieval re-enactment fighting with not a problem.
