NOW FULL TANG. This is a proper full width full tang sword perfect for heavy combat. It has a very high temper to be extremely durable and would hold an edge very well. The handle is polished wood and is made so you can easily custom shape the wood to fit your hand.

The pommel on this sword is now round. There is no flat edge on the top of the pommel.

Please note image 2 details our current rivet style.

Tempered blade with full width, full length tang and pommel end. Comes complete with scabbard, which includes - locket and chape.

The late medieval longsword also colloquially referred to as bastard-sword or hand-and-a-half sword , is a type of straight-bladed European sword . Contemporary terms included Langschwert ("long sword") in German , spadone ("large sword") in Italian and montante in Portuguese.

Use of these swords lasted from roughly 1250 to 1550 , declined in the late 16th century, and they were obsolete by the early 17th century.

The sword itself seems really solid as far as I can tell, with no loose parts. There aren't any glaring issues with it apart from the scabbard being too tight to pull the blade without some serious effort. The sword itself has a rough but simple charm to it, though it's a bit hard to handle due to the weight and POB being roughly 6 inches. Definitely worth the price though.
