This brigandine slips on like a coat giving a double layer protection on vulnerable parts. It was designed to be historically accurate and durable for the rigors of full contact HMB or ACL combat. It really is a high quality and very comfortable piece, the photos don't do justice to this armour.

A brigandine is a form of body armour from the Middle Ages. It is a cloth garment, generally canvas or leather, lined with oblong plates riveted to the fabric. The form of the brigandine is essentially the same as the civilian doublet, though it is commonly sleeveless.

Only available in black and features sturdy buckles and straps.

Specifications:
Shoulder to hip: 710mm
Will fit a girth (without modification): 99cm up to 106cm
Weight: 7.2kg
Gauge: 1mm Tempered Steel
Exterior: Thick felt with linen canvas lining

Historical Sources: Chalkis is the name of a Greek island, which was a Venetian colony from 1209 to 1470, until the Turks conquered it. A well-preserved large-plate brigandine was found in a local castle, which got the name "Chalkis type brigandine." Its main design features are: 1).buckles and leather straps fastener in the front; 2). 6 large metal plates arranged in a peculiar way. Chalkis type brigandine is very often chosen by guys making sets to reenact Europe of the 14-15th centuries. Sources of the 15th contain very beautiful images of Chalkis type brigandines, such as this one, from the miniature "Archangel Michael kills the snake."
