It takes a hammering I've been using mine for a while and I've given it a darn god working out and more often than not I've come away with barely a nick or scratch on the blade, in fact there have been times I've pulled bits of other blades off from a bind.

Gothic bastard I’ve been using one of these in combat for over 6 months now. Used two handed it is much faster than a long sword, but because of the blades length it can easily be used as a single hand sword as well.
Sure it will look great on a wall but it’s too good a sword not to be used. It’s become one of my favourites.

Tough enough, but... I've tested this sword in heavy combat. The blade is tough enough, but, the glue on the pommel doesn't hold too well and with the impact the hilt has split.
Perfect for a display piece, but if you're buying for use in proper combat, you might want to re-affix the fittings.
