A brigandine is a form of body armour from the Middle Ages. It is a cloth garment, generally canvas or leather, lined with oblong plates riveted to the fabric. The form of the brigandine is essentially the same as the civilian doublet, though it is commonly sleeveless.
Our leather brigandine is made from heavy duty black suede making it not only durable but very comfortable to wear. Each leather plate has been firmly studded to the body of the armour and features a front and back silver cap.
The brigandine slips over the head tunic style and then torso pieces wrap around the body giving a double layer protection on vulnerable parts.
Arming points are included on the shoulders for additional armour protection.
Only available in black and features sturdy buckles and straps.
