Greek Angular Spear

Weighs: 333grams
Length: 320mm  (12½ inches)
Width: 45mm (2 inches)

Distinguished from other spears of the time by its lack of mid rib. Similar in shape to a smaller spear known as the sarissa or sarisa. The sarisa was a 4 to 7 meter (13-21 feet) long pike used in the ancient Greek and Hellenistic warfare. It was introduced by Philip II of Macedon and was used in the phalanx formation as a replacement for the earlier dory, which was considerably shorter.
